Yiran (Jenny) Shen
2nd-year CSE PhD student @UCSD | La Jolla, CA
Across these directions, I develop methods that help agents:
- Infer user intent through interaction and translate it into scalable reward and evaluation signals
- Learn and be evaluated on tasks where success is hard to verify automatically
- Coordinate in multi-agent settings via reinforcement learning for better human-agent and agent-agent collaboration
I previously interned at
Alibaba Tongyi Lab with Dr. Liuyi Yao, working on role-play agents and reasoning. Before UCSD, I completed my Masterβs in Interdisciplinary Data Science at π Duke University, working with Prof. Brandon T. Fain and Prof. Bruce W. Rogers, and received my Bachelorβs degree from the π¦πΊ University of Melbourne in Economics and Finance with a minor in Statistics.
